The Book Nook

During a recent episode of High Stakes Poker (GSN Network), a conversation took place between Phil Laak and Bob Safai on the subject of books. They discussed books that they had read and thought interesting. Here at Pokerhag, we are quite bookish and always looking for a good read. We have already started a book list on the subject of poker but want to take our book selections to a new level and thought this was a good way to start.

We want your suggestions and reviews. Please let us know about books/authors......you have found interesting or inspiring........or just any good read. What poker book helped you the most......what self-help/philosophy book was best for you.......what biography was inspiring.......whose story left an impression........what book was a waste of time....whose story left you cold?

Let us know what you like and go to our forum for more in depth discussions....we welcome your athoughts and ideas......happy reading.

Books in the Laak/Safai discussion:

Check raising the devil (by Studiocatpoker)

Fooled by Randomness (Taleb)

Fortunes Formula (Poundstone)

The 48 Laws of Power (Greene)

NOTE:Pokerhag has these books in their possession but has not read them yet. When we do, will give our thoughts and if anyone reads or has read them, tell us what you think.
