Much to my delight, I enjoyed Mike Matusow"s autobiography. Say what you will about "The Mouth" and his melt downs, but Mike is one really good poker players. The book was obviously written from oral interviews. Who else but Mike could talk that long about anything!
The beginning of the book covers not his early life as a child, but we meet Mike as adult. Working for his mom and dad, gambling on sports and basically, adrift. The long road to poker player is treated in depth...from dealer to limit player to bracelet winner.
There is some repetition and embellishment. However, Mike appears to be as honest and open as he is in real life. A man who doesn't know the word discretion...the is no stopping mechanism between Mike's brain and his mouth. For this reason especially, I found the book very readable and enjoyable.
Remember Mike has gone deep in the WSOP ME four times in the decade....along with picking up another bracelet. Do a feel good thing and buy this book....your money won't be wasted....a portion goes to Mike for a bankroll.
